Moana Handsewn Disneyboud

No more staring at the edge of the water, let'd dive in with these custom Disneybounds!

Outfit #1:

I found this adorable dress, and I thought it would be just perfect for a Moana Disneybound. Though it isn't a tube top, the off the shoulder top will give a similar effect. Also, the bow in the back is reminiscent of Moana's waist tie in the movie. Lastly, Making the skirt tan keeps the characters color story the same as in the movie with a red on the top and tan on the bottom.

Outfit #2:

This second outfit is vey similar to the first. Having this top be a crop top makes it look more similar to Moana's tup top. And instead of a tan skirt, this outfit has tan pants. But, the flow of the pants should keep the same feel as a skirt.

Ears:

YoI designed these ears to be able to elevate any custom Disneybound to a readily recognizable character. Though you probably won't be able to create a top that has exactly the same pattern as hers in the movie, I thought it wouldn't be too hard to add it onto the ears. For the bow, I was inspired by the flower crown Moana wears. So, I made it a green bow with pink flowers attached. To finish off the ears, I wrapped the bow in twine or straw and then added the heart of Tefiti that Moana wears around her neck.

Additional Details:

As far as fabric goes, I think this look could really easily work with just plain cotton for both. With a brighter red on the top and a light tan on the bottom. To spice it up a little you could try to find something with lines or a pattern in darker red for the top. For the bottom, you could try to find something that looks more like her skirt. Something with lace or a more linen fabric might work. But remember, the fun of making your own Disneyboud is you can make it exactly how you would like! Choose the fabric, pattern, and extra details to be exactly how you would like it.
